Subroutine Library
The subroutine library provides a place to
store all of those code snippets and routines you use on a
regular basis. Quick and easy access to any given routine
to be added to your script with a simple mouse click. The
limitations of the old subroutine library became frustrating
when it came to ease of use and detailed descriptions. Because
of this we rewrote the subroutine library from the ground
up, creating a more detailed, easy to use library system.
Perl Scripting Tool includes several routines with the standard
installation and you can add as many new routines as you would
like.
Project
Management
The new project manager allows you to group
multiple scripts, html files, and other files together for
quick and easy editing. Switch between project components
in a mouse-click. The new built in ftp functions allows you
to upload a project or individual files and set the permissions
all in a single click.
Full
FTP Client
Aside from the FTP functions available when
working with projects, Perl Scripting Tool 2 Now includes
a feature-rich drag-and-drop FTP client. With a look and feel
that is comfortable and straight forward to use.
Built
In HTML Editor
Sick of having too many applications running
while working on a project. Use the built in HTML editor and
browser to quickly make modifications to the html components
of your scripts.
Get
Around Quickly
The main UI now has a goto line box that allows
a quick means to goto a line in your script. The smart goto
line box remembers the lines you have entered for quick and
easy reference later.
Perl
Output Window:
You can now integrate your Perl output window
directly within the UI. If you encounter an error in your
script click on the Errors tab and quickly navigate to the
lines containing the errors.
Script Explorer:
The script explorer provides a means to navigate
your script and/or project within the main IDE.
Bookmarks Tab: Explorer Pane
Quick access to all bookmarks and bookmark
functions right from the main IDE screen.
Project Tab: Explorer Pane:
The Project Tab provides quick access to all
files in your project and all project functions.
Subs Tab: Explorer Pane
Working with that big script with dozens upon
dozens of subroutines? The Subs tab provides a list of subs
in your script. Click on a sub and you are taken there in
a single click!
